The best bidet toilet seat is the one that matches your bowl shape, your outlet situation and the one or two features you care about most. Based on manufacturer specifications, the Bio Bidet BB-2000 is the most well-rounded choice for most homes, the TOTO WASHLET S7A is the premium hands-free pick, the Brondell Swash 1400 stands out for its separate front and rear nozzles, and the Alpha JX2 is a value-minded tankless seat.
Unlike our best smart toilet seats of 2026 list, which focuses on our four editor’s picks, this guide is organized by need. Start with the situation that sounds like yours, whether that is a tight budget, a round bowl, a busy family bathroom or no outlet at all, and you will find the seats that fit it.
We checked every product fact on the maker’s own website or documentation in November 2026. We have not physically tested these seats; our methodology explains how we research.

Best all-rounder: Bio Bidet BB-2000 (Bliss)
If you want one seat that covers most needs without premium extras, the BB-2000 has the broadest feature list of the mid-range seats we have researched. Bio Bidet lists rear, front, vortex and turbo washes, oscillating and pulsating spray, and a one-touch Auto Wash that runs a full wash-and-dry cycle. You get both a wireless remote and a lit side panel, so guests and family members who dislike remotes can still use it.
It comes in round and elongated sizes, adds a heated seat, dryer, deodorizer, night light and slow-close lid, and Bio Bidet lists a 3-year warranty. The main catch is power: it needs a 120V GFCI outlet within 4 feet, and the cord exits on the right. Our full BB-2000 review goes deeper.
Best premium seat: TOTO WASHLET S7A
For a seat that does as much as possible on its own, the S7A is the pick. TOTO lists an automatic opening and closing lid, instantaneous water heating, EWATER+ cleaning of the wand and bowl, PREMIST to mist the bowl before use, a five-setting dryer and a remote with four user memories.
The trade-offs: it fits elongated bowls only, needs a 120V GFCI outlet, and TOTO lists a 2-year limited residential warranty. If you are replacing an older TOTO such as the K300 or S500e, the S7A is the natural step up.
TOTO WASHLET S7A
SW4736 (Contemporary, elongated)
TOTO’s upper-tier WASHLET with an automatic opening and closing lid, instant water heating and EWATER+ cleaning of the wand and bowl.
- Automatic open/close lid
- Instantaneous (tankless) water heating
- EWATER+ and PREMIST bowl pre-mist
- Warm-air dryer with 5 settings; auto deodorizer
- Remote with dock and 4 user memories
Check first: Elongated bowls only; needs an outlet near the toilet.

Best dual-nozzle seat: Brondell Swash 1400
Most bidet seats use one wand with different spray openings for front and rear washing. The Swash 1400 instead has two separate retractable stainless nozzles, one for each, which appeals to people who prefer the front wash to have its own nozzle. Brondell pairs that with on-demand ceramic water heating, seven nozzle positions, a choice of wide or concentrated spray, a four-setting dryer and a carbon deodorizer.
The remote docks magnetically and stores two user presets. It is offered in round and elongated versions. Note the shorter 3.5-ft cord when you plan your outlet, and expect to replace the deodorizer filter periodically.
Brondell Swash 1400
S1400 (EW/EB elongated, RW/RB round)
Brondell’s Luxury model uses two separate retractable stainless nozzles and on-demand water heating, with a sittable lid and LED nightlight.
- Dual retractable stainless nozzles (front and rear)
- On-demand (tankless) ceramic water heater
- 7 nozzle positions; wide or concentrated spray
- Warm-air dryer with 4 settings; carbon deodorizer
- Remote with magnetic dock and 2 user presets
Check first: Deodorizer filter is replaceable (about every 6 months).

Best budget electric seats
“Budget” in electric bidet seats usually means fewer extras, not fewer essentials. All three of these include warm water, a heated seat and a warm-air dryer. The difference is in how they heat water and how you control them.
Alpha JX2: budget tankless
The JX2 is the value pick if continuous warm water matters to you. Alpha Bidet lists tankless heating, rear, rear-plus and front washes with oscillation, a heated seat with a stated range of about 89 to 100°F, a warm-air dryer and a backlit remote with two presets. It comes in round (JX2-RW) and elongated (JX2-EW) versions with a 3-year warranty, and Alpha highlights its low stated standby power. Some variants showed as sold out when we checked, so confirm availability.
SmartBidet SB-2000: buttons instead of a remote
The SB-2000 suits people who would rather press buttons on the seat than hunt for a remote. SmartBidet lists posterior, feminine, turbo and oscillating washes, five pressure levels, a five-level dryer, an LED night light, a soft-close lid and seat, and a 3-year warranty, in round (SB-2000WR) and elongated (SB-2000WE) versions. Its manual describes a heated tank and one-minute wash cycles, so warm water is limited per wash. Read our SB-2000 review for details.
Lotus ATS-500: family features
The ATS-500 includes a child wash alongside rear, feminine and turbo washes, and Lotus sells a single version it says fits both round and elongated toilets. It has side-panel controls (a remote version, the ATS-500R, is also listed), a heated seat, a five-level dryer and a 2-year limited warranty. Like the SB-2000, its manual describes a heated tank. See our ATS-500 review.
Best seats for round toilets
Round bowls are common in older homes and small bathrooms, and several premium seats skip them. Of the seats in this guide, these are offered for round bowls according to their makers:
- Bio Bidet BB-2000: round and elongated versions.
- Brondell Swash 1400: round (RW/RB) and elongated (EW/EB) versions.
- Alpha JX2: JX2-RW for round bowls.
- SmartBidet SB-2000: SB-2000WR for round bowls.
- Lotus ATS-500: one version listed for both shapes.
The TOTO S7A and S5 are elongated seats. Not sure which you have? Our measuring guide shows how to tell in a minute.
A TOTO option below the S7A: WASHLET S5
If you want TOTO’s EWATER+ and PREMIST without the S7A’s automatic lid, TOTO’s S5 (SW3446) is worth a look. TOTO lists instantaneous water heating, EWATER+ wand cleaning after each use, PREMIST, a three-setting dryer, a SoftClose seat, a bowl night light and a remote with memory for up to four users. It is compatible with most elongated toilets. TOTO marks it “limited inventory,” so check stock before you set your heart on it.
No outlet near the toilet: non-electric attachments
If there is no outlet within reach and you don’t want to add one yet, a non-electric bidet attachment is the simplest start. It slips under your existing seat and runs on your toilet’s water pressure, with a dial or lever to control the spray. Most models deliver cold water only and have no dryer or heated seat, but there is nothing to plug in. Our bidet seat vs. attachment guide compares the two approaches.
Non-electric bidet attachments
Product category
A thin attachment that fits under your existing seat and runs off the toilet’s water supply — no electricity required.
- Keeps your current toilet seat
- Mechanical dial or lever control
- No outlet or wiring needed

And here are the additional seats in this guide, verified on their makers’ sites:
| Seat | Water heating | Controls | Bowl shapes | Warranty |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SmartBidet SB-2000 | Heated tank | Side panel | Round or elongated | 3 years |

Tank or tankless: the choice that matters most
How a seat heats water affects your experience more than almost any other spec. Tank seats keep a small reservoir warm. They draw less power while running, but warm water can run short during a long wash or when two people use the toilet back to back. Tankless (instant or on-demand) seats heat water as it flows, so it stays warm for the whole wash, at the cost of a higher momentary power draw.
In this guide, the TOTO S7A, TOTO S5, Brondell Swash 1400 and Alpha JX2 are tankless. The SmartBidet SB-2000 and Lotus ATS-500 use tanks, and Bio Bidet describes the BB-2000’s system as “hybrid.”
What to check before you buy any bidet seat
- Bowl shape. Round or elongated, and whether the seat is offered in your shape.
- Outlet. Electric seats need a grounded 120V outlet near the toilet, and makers such as TOTO and Bio Bidet specify GFCI protection. Measure the distance against the seat’s listed cord length (3.5 ft for the Swash 1400 and 4 ft for the BB-2000 and JX2, for example) and note which side the cord exits. If you need an outlet, hire a licensed electrician; don’t use an extension cord.
- Toilet style. Some one-piece toilets have tank shapes that interfere with bidet seats. Check the maker’s fit guidance before ordering.
- Water connection. Most seats use a T-valve at the toilet’s shut-off valve. Make sure the valve works before installation day.
- Warranty and parts. Warranties range from one to three years among the seats we have researched. A current model with available parts is easier to keep running.
- Who will use it. Children, older adults and guests may prefer side panels or simple auto cycles.
Older models you may still see listed
Several seats that were popular a few years ago are discontinued or winding down. As of November 2026:
- Bio Bidet Ultimate BB-600: listed as discontinued by Bio Bidet. See our BB-600 review.
- TOTO WASHLET K300 (SW3036): TOTO marks it limited inventory with no retailers listed. See our K300 review.
- TOTO WASHLET C100 (SW2034): limited inventory on TOTO’s site. See our C100 review.
- TOTO WASHLET S500e (SW3046): limited inventory on TOTO’s site. See our S500e review.
- Pacific Bay Cascadia: the brand’s website has closed. See our Cascadia review.
If you find one of these, confirm it is new and still covered by a warranty before buying.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a bidet seat and a bidet attachment?
A bidet seat replaces your toilet seat and usually adds warm water, a heated seat and a dryer, but needs an outlet. An attachment fits under your existing seat, runs on water pressure alone and usually sprays cold water.
Can I install a bidet seat myself?
Most of these seats are designed for DIY installation with a T-valve and mounting plate. Call a plumber if your shut-off valve is stuck or leaking.
Which bidet seat has the longest warranty?
Among the seats in this guide, Bio Bidet (BB-2000), Alpha (JX2) and SmartBidet (SB-2000) list three years, and Brondell lists a limited 3-year tiered warranty for the Swash 1400. Terms differ, so read the details.
