The TOTO WASHLET C100 (model SW2034 for elongated bowls) is TOTO’s long-running entry-level bidet seat. It is controlled from an arm panel on the side of the seat, heats water in a small tank, and includes a heated seat, a five-setting warm-air dryer, a deodorizer and TOTO’s PREMIST bowl pre-mist. As of November 2026, TOTO’s product page for the C100 Elongated still shows SKU SW2034, but with a “limited inventory” notice and no retailers listed, so it may be hard to find new.
This review is based on TOTO’s spec sheet, owner’s manual and product page; we have not physically tested the seat (see our methodology). We explain what the C100 does well, where its tank-style heating holds it back, and which current seats to consider.

Is the TOTO C100 still available?
It is still on TOTO’s website, but in run-out mode. The C100 Elongated page lists SKU SW2034 with a “limited inventory” banner, meaning it may not be available from all suppliers, and the U.S. retailer list was empty when we checked in November 2026. TOTO’s main WASHLET lineup now features newer seats such as the C2, S5 and S7A.
Be careful with similar model numbers. TOTO also made an SW2034T20, a WASHLET+ version designed to fit only TOTO’s WASHLET+ toilet bowls. The standard SW2034 is the one meant for ordinary toilets.

Color suffixes follow TOTO’s usual pattern: #01 is Cotton white and #12 is Sedona Beige.
Key features, according to TOTO
Washing
TOTO lists a “gentle aerated, warm water, dual action spray” with an oscillating option. The owner’s manual describes rear, soft rear and front cleansing, five water pressure levels and adjustable nozzle position. Spray temperature is adjustable from about 95 to 104°F.
Tank-style warm water
The C100 keeps a reservoir of warm water inside the seat. TOTO’s manual notes that the water temperature can drop if warm water is used continuously. In everyday terms, a normal wash should be warm, but a long wash or two people in a row may get cooler water. The upside of a tank is a much lower power rating than TOTO’s instant-heating seats: 406W for the C100.
Comfort features
- Heated seat with temperature control, about 82 to 97°F.
- Warm-air dryer with five temperature settings.
- Automatic air deodorizer that starts when you sit.
- PREMIST, which mists the bowl with water before each use.
- Energy saver. The manual describes settings that lower or switch off heating during periods when the toilet is used less, including an automatic mode.
- Arm control panel on the side of the seat, with no remote.
Tank versus instant heating: what it means for you
The biggest difference between the C100 and TOTO’s newer seats is how they heat water. The C100 keeps a small reservoir of warm water, which is why its power rating is only 406W. Instant (tankless) WASHLETs such as the K300 and S500e heat water as it flows, which takes much more power while running (TOTO lists rated consumption above 1,200W for those two models) but means the water doesn’t cool partway through a wash.
For a single user who washes briefly, a tank seat is usually fine. For a busy household, or anyone who likes a long warm rinse, tankless is the better match. TOTO’s C100 manual adds that after an energy saver period, the warm water takes about 10 minutes and the seat about 15 minutes to return to the set temperature.
Routine care
Wipe plastic surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, and drain the unit if the bathroom could freeze. If warm water or pressure seems weak, check the energy saver setting and the water supply before calling for service. Our maintenance checklist has a simple schedule.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Simple side-arm controls, nothing to misplace
- PREMIST and automatic deodorizer at TOTO's entry level
- Five dryer settings
- Low 406W power rating
- Offered in elongated (SW2034) and round (SW2033)
Things to consider
- Tank-heated water can cool during long washes
- TOTO lists it as limited inventory with no retailers shown
- 1-year limited warranty
- No remote, user presets or EWATER+
- Older design than TOTO's current C2 and S-series
Who it’s for
- People who want TOTO quality at the entry level and prefer buttons on the seat to a remote.
- Bathrooms on a busy circuit. The C100’s lower power rating is easier on wiring than instant-heating seats, though it still needs a grounded GFCI outlet.
- Current owners looking for specifications, model numbers and manuals.
If you want endless warm water or app-like conveniences, look at tankless seats instead.
What to check before you buy
- Model number. SW2034 is elongated and SW2033 is round. Avoid the SW2034T20 unless you have a TOTO WASHLET+ toilet.
- Bowl shape. Use our measuring guide to confirm round versus elongated.
- Outlet. TOTO’s drawing shows the 4-ft, three-prong cord on the right side and calls for a 120V, 10-amp GFCI outlet at least 12 in. off the floor. If you don’t have one, have a licensed electrician add it.
- Surge protection. TOTO highly recommends a surge protector to guard against power surges.
- Stock and warranty. With limited inventory, confirm the seat is new and covered by TOTO’s one-year limited warranty.
See our installation guide for the general steps.
Current alternatives
Within TOTO, the closest newer seat is the WASHLET C2 (SW3074), which also uses a side control arm and PREMIST and adds EWATER+, which TOTO says keeps the wand and bowl hygienic. TOTO marks the C2 limited inventory too, so check stock. Outside TOTO, the Alpha JX2 is a value-focused tankless seat with a remote, and the Bio Bidet BB-2000 offers more wash styles plus both a remote and a side panel. Both come in round and elongated sizes.
