The SmartBidet SB-2000 is a mid-priced electric bidet seat that you operate from a control panel on the side of the seat rather than a remote. It covers the essentials (warm-water wash, heated seat, warm-air dryer) and adds an LED night light, a soft-close lid and seat, and an energy saving mode. As of November 2026, SmartBidet’s own store lists the SB-2000 in elongated (SB-2000WE) and round (SB-2000WR) versions, both shown as available.

This review is based on SmartBidet’s product page and owner’s manual; we have not physically tested the seat (see our methodology). SmartBidet is a brand of Hitrons Solutions Inc., a New Jersey importer, whose website links to the SmartBidet store.

Is the SB-2000 current?

Yes. SmartBidet’s store lists the SB-2000 among its best sellers, next to the SB-1000, SB-1200 and SB-2400, and both shape variants showed as available when we checked in November 2026. The owner’s manual we reviewed is dated 2015, so the basic design has been on the market for a long time.

SB-2000WE vs. SB-2000WR

The two versions share the same features and differ mainly in length, according to the manual:

Version Bowl shape Size (W x L x H) Net weight
SB-2000WE Elongated 18.7 x 20.6 x 7.13 in. 10.7 lb
SB-2000WR Round 18.7 x 19.4 x 7.13 in. 10.6 lb

Ordering the wrong shape is the most common fit mistake with any bidet seat, so check yours before you buy.

Key features, according to SmartBidet

Wash options

SmartBidet lists posterior, feminine, turbo and oscillating washes. The control panel labels them as For Her Front, For Her Back and For His Back; pressing a wash button a second time starts oscillation for wider coverage. Water pressure has five levels, and the manual says the nozzle position can also be adjusted in steps.

Nozzle hygiene

The manual says the nozzle cleans itself automatically before and after each wash. SmartBidet also lists a removable nozzle cap for easier cleaning, and the manual explains how to extend the nozzle for wiping.

Water heating and filtration

SmartBidet’s page mentions heated, filtered water with three temperature settings. The manual describes a heated tank that fills when the seat is first powered, with a float switch and a side drain button. It says warm water is maintained for up to 50 seconds during a one-minute wash, and wash functions stop on their own after a minute. That is normal for a tank-style seat: plenty for an everyday wash, but a second user may need to wait a few minutes for full warmth.

Comfort and convenience

  • Heated seat with adjustable temperature.
  • Warm-air dryer with five levels.
  • Integrated LED night light.
  • Soft-close lid and seat.
  • Safety seat sensor that keeps functions off unless someone is seated.
  • Energy saving mode. The manual says it holds the water and seat at about 89.6°F.
  • Quick-release seat for cleaning around the hinge area.

SmartBidet doesn’t list a deodorizer for the SB-2000.

Installation and upkeep

Installing

SmartBidet describes the SB-2000 as an easy DIY install with instructions included. Per the manual, you remove your existing seat, shut off the water and disconnect the supply hose from the tank, then fit the supplied T-valve. A base plate bolts to the toilet, the seat slides onto it, and a hose runs from the T-valve to the seat. You plug it in only after everything is connected and checked for leaks.

On first use, pressing a wash button starts filling the heated tank, and the seat beeps when it is full. Functions run only when the seat sensor detects someone sitting.

Cleaning and care

  • Nozzle. Hold the For Her Back button for three seconds to extend the nozzle, clean it with a soft brush or cloth, then press stop to retract it. It runs its self-cleaning cycle as it goes back.
  • Water strainer. The manual recommends cleaning the filter periodically, since a clogged strainer lowers water pressure.
  • Draining. A drain button on the side empties the tank into the bowl without removing the seat, which is useful before a trip or in an unheated bathroom.
  • Surfaces. Use a soft, damp cloth. The manual warns against toilet cleaners, stain removers and air fresheners on the plastic.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Available in round and elongated versions
  • Side control panel with no remote to lose
  • LED night light and soft-close lid and seat
  • Self-cleaning nozzle with removable cap
  • 3-year manufacturer warranty listed by SmartBidet

Things to consider

  • Manual describes a heated tank, not tankless heating
  • Washes stop after one minute
  • No deodorizer listed
  • Cord is just under 4 ft long
  • Manual dates from 2015, so it is not a new design

Who it’s for

  • Buyers who want buttons, not a remote. The side panel keeps every control in one place.
  • Night-time users. The built-in LED night light helps you find the toilet without switching on bright lights.
  • Round-bowl owners. The SB-2000WR is a dedicated round version rather than a one-size-fits-all seat.
  • People who value warranty length. SmartBidet lists three years for the SB-2000, longer than the one-year term it gives most of its other models.

If you want continuous warm water, a deodorizer or an automatic lid, look at higher-tier seats instead.

What to check before you buy

  1. Bowl shape. Order WE for elongated or WR for round. Our measuring guide shows how to tell which you have.
  2. Outlet distance. The cord is listed at 3 ft 10 in. The manual calls for a grounded GFCI outlet and says the seat should not share a circuit with other appliances. If you need a new outlet, hire a licensed electrician.
  3. Water access. You’ll need to reach the toilet’s shut-off valve to fit the T-valve. Our installation guide walks through the typical steps.
  4. Clearance. At about 7 in. tall and 18.7 in. wide, check that the seat clears your tank and the lid can open fully.
  5. Cold bathrooms. The manual explains how to drain the tank and warns against freezing temperatures.

How it compares

Against the seats we have researched in depth, the SB-2000 sits in the practical middle. The Alpha JX2 offers tankless heating and a remote, while the Bio Bidet BB-2000 adds vortex wash, a deodorizer and both remote and panel controls.
