The Richmond two-piece toilet is made by ICERA, a bathroom fixture brand sold in the US that also uses the St. Thomas Creations name. It is a vitreous china, compact-elongated, chair-height toilet that uses 1.28 gallons per flush, carries EPA WaterSense certification, fits a standard 12-inch rough-in and comes with a slow-close, quick-release seat. It is a traditionally styled toilet aimed at buyers who want a coordinated bathroom suite.

This review is based on ICERA’s product page and specification sheet. We have not physically tested the Richmond; our methodology page explains how we research products.

Which “Richmond”? Several brands use the Richmond name. ICERA’s “RICHMOND Two-Piece Toilet” is the only US two-piece toilet sold under that name that we could match to a current manufacturer page, so this review covers it. In the UK, Hudson Reed’s Old London range also has a Richmond toilet, but that is a different, close-coupled product. ICERA also markets a Richmond II, which trade coverage describes as a one-piece model; it is not covered here.

Status as of November 2026: ICERA’s website still has a product page for the Richmond Two-Piece Toilet (bowl 6123.218, tank 6125.028), with a spec sheet posted in 2025. However, ICERA’s Richmond collection page showed the toilet, and the rest of the suite, as out of stock when we checked. Treat it as a current model with limited availability, and confirm stock with ICERA or a dealer.

Design and features

Compact-elongated bowl

A compact-elongated bowl keeps the oval seating shape of an elongated toilet while bringing the front edge back a little, which helps in tight bathrooms. ICERA doesn’t publish the bowl length on the sections of the spec sheet we could read, so measure your space against the full drawing on the spec sheet before ordering. If you plan to add a bidet seat, check that the seat maker supports compact-elongated bowls; some don’t.

Flush and trapway

The Richmond is a gravity, siphon-jet toilet. Its 3-in. flush valve lets water leave the tank quickly, and the 2-1/8-in. trapway is fully glazed inside to help waste pass. ICERA reports that the toilet cleared over 1,000 g in MaP testing. MaP is a third-party bulk-removal test; ICERA reports the figure, and it is not a score from this site.

Finish, seat and trim

ICERA’s MicroGlaze is an antimicrobial glaze meant to keep the china easier to clean. The seat is a Silent Close (slow-close) design that lifts off with a quick-release mechanism for cleaning. The spec sheet lists optional tank-lever finishes, including polished nickel, satin nickel, satin brass, white enamel and matte black, plus a few seat-cap finishes, so you can match faucets and other hardware.

Replacement parts

ICERA’s spec sheet lists part numbers for the fill valve (VL-5801), flush valve (VH-5802.15), flapper (9400.580.01), tank lid (6125.025.01) and seat (S-242.01). Save these with your receipt; they make future repairs much easier.

What we like

  • 1.28 gpf and EPA WaterSense certified
  • 16-1/2-in. ADA-compliant chair-height rim
  • 3-in. flush valve and fully glazed 2-1/8-in. trapway
  • Slow-close, quick-release seat included
  • Published replacement part numbers and optional trim finishes
  • Limited lifetime warranty on ceramic

Things to consider

  • Shown out of stock on ICERA's Richmond page in November 2026
  • Sold mainly through dealers, so fewer places to buy
  • Compact-elongated bowl can limit bidet seat choices
  • 12-in. rough-in only
  • Left-hand lever; ADA compliance depends on lever placement on the approach side

How it compares with similar two-piece toilets

Here is how the Richmond’s published specs line up with two other chair-height, 1.28 gpf two-piece toilets covered on this site, using each manufacturer’s own figures.

The Richmond’s distinguishing points are its compact-elongated bowl, its matching suite and its trim finish options. See our Gerber Avalanche review for the Gerber alternative.

Who it’s for

  • Remodelers building a matched suite. The Richmond collection includes vanities and an undermount lavatory, so you can coordinate the look.
  • Small bathrooms that still want an oval seat. The compact-elongated bowl is a middle ground; see our elongated vs round guide.
  • Anyone who wants a taller seat. With a 16-1/2-in. rim plus the seat, it lands near the ADA seat range of 17 to 19 in. measured to the top of the seat. ICERA notes ADA compliance applies when the trip lever is on the approach side. Our chair height guide explains who benefits.
  • Water-conscious households. At 1.28 gpf it uses 20 percent less water than the 1.6 gpf federal standard, according to the EPA.

What to check before you buy

  1. Stock and lead time. Confirm availability with ICERA or a dealer before removing your old toilet.
  2. Both part numbers. The bowl (6123.218.01) and tank (6125.028.01) are separate items; make sure your order includes both.
  3. Rough-in. Measure 12 in. from the finished wall to the center of the floor bolts.
  4. Lever side. The standard tank has a left-hand lever. If ADA compliance matters, check which side is the approach side in your room.
  5. Bidet seat fit. Check compatibility for compact-elongated bowls, and read our best bidet toilet seats guide.
  6. Installation guide. ICERA publishes an installation and care guide for this bowl and tank pairing; read it before you start.
